I am a recently displaced worker, my accounting job was downsized. The good thing about that is I have had time to start a blog, work on my ancestry research, and spend more time with my family. I am a mother of 3 adult children and one 18 year old that is still at home for the remainder of this school year. I have 2 young grandsons.
I purchased the Rosetta Stone French Language package in December and I have been trying to learn French. I have been to Europe twice over the last year or so. My first trip was just France. My second trip was to England, France, Switzerland and Germany. They were both school trips with my son.
I have only been researching for about ten months. Luckily for me on my mother's side they were all around the Richmond, Indiana area for a few generations and they were all Quakers. The Quakers kept very good records and they were all fairly educated.
I am enjoying the blogging, I never thought it was something I would ever do. I have met wonderful people. I think I was always leery of putting any information on the internet. I just started using the social networks at about he same time as I started a blog.
