Updates on the FGS Conference in Ft. Wayne, Indiana

I am. so excited about this conference.  It is in Ft Wayne, Indiana in August.  Just a couple of hours from home.  I am going to get to attend my first conference, information here.   I was busy today looking at the Program Overview, The Schedule and The Speakers.  It sounds like so much fun!  One of the speakers is Lisa Alzo, The Accidental Genealogist, I have been doing her writing prompts throughout February and March.  I might get to see her in person.  Another is Crista Cowen from Ancestry.com, I have been watching her videos for months now learning how to search effectively.

This is one seminar that I think would be helpful to me.  My dad's parents and all his ancestors for a few generations lived in Kentucky.  I haven't gotten to do much research on them, so I hope this will show me what's available and where to get started.

My problem is going to be that I am going to want to attend everything!

  1. Betty, that's right! It'll practically be in your backyard! So jealous! But happy for you. That's such a great opportunity. I just love Fort Wayne.
