Military Monday - Pfc. Thomas Edward Hofer

My cousin Tommy died when I was a Freshman in High School.  I have been to the Vietnam Wall a few times to see his name and make etchings.  The Wall is such a solemn place.

  1. So sad. I like how you did the etching on the pamphlet from the memorial, that's unique.

    1. That night when we went to the memorial my son was in eighth grade and we were with his class. We only had a few minutes to be there and I wanted him to etch the name. I think it is an important experience. I think that was all we had. I love scrapbooking so I had to have something to put in my book.

    2. I think I was drawn to it because we collect those pamphlets from all the national parks we go to, so they have a special meaning to us. That made your scrapbook page even more special to me.

    3. We have a collection of those too. I have so much scrapbooking to catch up on. My genealogy and blogging has taken quite a bit of my time lately though
