The purpose of my blog is to record my family history and genealogy on my mother's side of the family. The surnames include Hoover, Pickett (Piggott), Eccles, Huddleston, Manis (Maness), Gipson, (Gibson) Gifford, Lawson, Fish,and and other in my family tree. I will continue my genealogy research as I try to help others with their genealogy. I don't guarantee that all my genealogical conclusions are correct, they are a work in progress.
I am not sure where she was born. Her family lived in Guilford County. They left there and went to Ohio when she was young and then to Indiana. My group were all Quakers. My great grandfather Benjamin Pickett (Piggott) was born in Indiana, but his father came from North Carolina, too. I believe they were either in or near Guilford, too.
Just curious, do any of your Picketts/Piggotts come from Carteret or Craven Counties? Where in North Carolina was your great great grandmother born?
